Job Overview We are hiring a Medical Coder to join our team at FLY Consulting Services. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for healthcare claims. This position is full-time and requires 1 to 3 years of experience. The job location is Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Qualifications And Skills - 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Coder
- CPC certification is required
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems and procedures
- Familiarity with Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding
- Proficiency in CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) and CPT codes
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Roles And Responsibilities - Accurately assign medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services for healthcare claims
- Review and analyze medical records, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate coding
- Follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis or procedure details
- Perform audits and quality assurance checks to ensure accurate coding and billing practices
- Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines, industry changes, and regulations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical coding practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve coding processes and accuracy
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed
