Role Overview As an Accountant at Futuristic Labs, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various finance-related functions. Your attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and business acumen will be essential to ensure the financial health and growth of our company. Key responsibilities include: Drive the preparation and recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and compile financial data for reporting purposes, contributing to the creation of accurate and timely financial statements. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules. Participate in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis, offering insights to improve financial performance. Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and workflows, suggesting improvements and implementing best practices. Assist in the management of vendor relationships and support in resolving billing discrepancies. Complete data entry on prompt & consistent basis on Zoho Finance Support the preparation of tax-related documentation and assist with audits as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance. Monthly Statutory compliances of GST and TDS Assist in fixed asset management, drive the monitoring & tracking efforts of inventory What we think you’ll need to succeed in this role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Working knowledge in Zoho Finance Accounting Software would be ideal Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals across different departments. Business savvy mindset with an understanding of the financial implications of decisions. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines. Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards is advantageous. Curious what it's like to work at Futuristic Labs?
