Role Description
- Lead and manage a team of accountants and tax professionals for effective financial operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Oversee tax compliance, keeping abreast of changes in tax laws, and optimizing the organization's tax position.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop budgets, provide financial insights, and support strategic planning.
- Manage external audits, address findings, and enhance audit processes for efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and taxation procedures.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a high-performance work environment.
- Communicate financial information to key stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and taxation.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as auditors and tax consultants, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Continuously assess and enhance the skills of the team through training and professional development.
- Implement technology solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
- Uphold ethical standards and integrity in all accounting and taxation activities.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in US GAAP, US Taxation laws, and QuickBooks Desktop/Online/Pro Advisor
- Extensive knowledge of US federal and state taxation laws
- Experience in financial accounting and taxation for US-based clients
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Good understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain successful relationships with clients
- High attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required
- Chartered Accountant certification and relevant work experience is a plus

Job Description:
Responsibilities Includes, but not limited to
• Review U.S. tax returns viz tax returns for individuals, C and S corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Estates, Not for profit entities etc
• Handling a team of Tax department
• Able to do tax research independently
• Proactively initiates job (PIC doesn't have to tell you to do it)
• Scheduling, Budgeting and Staffing the jobs appropriately
• Obtain information to prepare job
• Training the staff
• Get staff started on job - explain job, give budget and set internal deadlines
• Supervise the staff's progress
• Meets agreed upon delivery date to PIC
• Provides complete quality work product that is timely
• Build working relationships with peers, supervisors and U.S. colleagues
Requirements
Technical:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), or other qualified professionals in the accounting and tax field
• Expert in Accounting and U.S tax knowledge
• Experience in detail review of various tax returns – individuals, C and S corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Estates, Not for profit entities etc
• Knowledge of CChAxcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware
• Ability to do independent tax research in case of unseen tax scenarios
• Good Communication skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Ready to learn new tax software
• Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanour and a team player
• Ready to work long hours in busy season times
• Able to meet the deadlines and work based on the urgency of the projects
• Good at multi-tasking and handling various projects simultaneously in an efficient manner
• Good at training and supervising staff and getting the work done in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to guide subordinates through the technical problems they face
• Should be able to build working relationships with peers, supervisors and U.S colleagues
