IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Staff Nurse (Fresher)
Job Summary: As an IMCU Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This is an entry-level position suitable for fresh nursing graduates who are passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of patients. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the provision of safe, effective, and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities : 1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring : - Perform thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in health status. - Monitor and document patient progress, responding promptly to any signs of deterioration. 2. Medication Administration : - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to hospital policies and best practices. - Ensure accurate dosage and administration, while maintaining proper documentation. 3. Care Planning : - Participate in the development of individualized care plans for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team. - Implement care plans to meet patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs. 4. Technical Skills : - Operate and maintain medical equipment and devices used in IMCU. - Assist with procedures such as wound care, IV administration, and monitoring cardiac telemetry. 5. Infection Control : - Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. - Promote a culture of safety and infection prevention within the IMCU. 6. Patient Education : - Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care measures. - Provide emotional support and answer their questions and concerns. 7. Documentation : - Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including charts, progress notes, and incident reports. - Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely and organized manner. 8. Team Collaboration : - Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and support staff. - Communicate patient information and changes in condition clearly and promptly. 9. Compliance : - Adhere to the hospital's policies and protocols, as well as relevant legal and ethical standards. - Keep up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and regulations through continuous learning and professional development. 10. Emergency Response : - Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate assistance to patients.Job tags
