Researcher/Principal Researcher: Iron Making Research Group

Job description
As a part of Iron Making Research group, you are expected to:
1)Conduct research activities related to low CO2 intensive hydrogen generation technologies.
2)Scan existing and new technologies related to hydrogen generation and explore feasibility.
3)Perform lab-scale experiments and analysis of different ways of hydrogen generation and extraction of hydrogen and other useful constituents from a mixture of gases.
4)Collaborate with internal and external agencies to meet hydrogen input demands for ironmaking processes.
5)Develop laboratories and pilot scale experimental facilities conforming to industrial safety standards.
Skills Primary skill:
Knowledge on hydrogen generation process via electrolysis (alkaline, PEM,AEM),SOEC,etc.,
Gas separation techniques (membrane based, adsorption, absorption, etc.)
Secondary skill:
Process modelling,
Heat and mass balance.
Other details Minimum Education:
M.Tech./M.S./M.E./Ph.D.
Branch:
Chemical,Petroleum,Petrochemical,Energy,Environment,Metallurgy, Mechanical
Experience:
1. Experience of 2 - 8 years in gas processing and separation technologies.
2. Good experience with gas handling and safety.
3. Experience with hydrogen generation processes.
4. Experience with gas analysis techniques like mass spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, gas chromatography, etc.
5. Process and operating knowledge of industrial level gas separation and purification processes.
