Job : Oracle DBA | MySQL DBAJob Description :DBA is a key responsibility empowered in mainitaing multiple instances of DB (Development, Test, Production etc.), ensuring relevant DB access permissions to appropriate project team members and perform many more critical DBA tasks.Job Responsibilities :- Setup /or Maintenance of multiple instances of DB server(s) like Development, Test, Production DB Instances- Responsible for Creating Users and assigning privileges- Responsible for database backup, restore and schedule backups- Responsible for Performance tuning and Query optimization- Managing Security and Roles, functions include managing objects, granting and revoking privileges- Performing IQ on creation of new validated environment- Responsible for 24/7 Production Database Administration Support.- Write scripts and commits to SVN- Provide Static scripts for MySQL / Oracle- Write Shell scripts for automating process in Linux Platform and Crontab for Scheduling the Backup- Developing and Testing of storage strategies and disasterrecovery plan for the clients operational database- Responsible for delivering solutions that guarantee recovery performance and high availability.- Responsible for patch upgrade as and when required with prior planning, intimation, minimal downtime.- Setting up and Monitoring of Oracle and MySQL RAC/Replication servers- Starting up and shutting down of the appropriate Database instances- Responsible for Maintaining Environment details and change management- Responsible for Periodic Report Generation on Database Health- Reviewing contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources- Responsible for Shrinking the Data files to avoid space issues- Responsible for Purging of Database logs and trace files- Responsible for Migration of Oracle/MySQL database from different platforms and storage types- Responsible for Execution of Database/SQL Scripts as per BUILD processes- Responsible for Adding TNS entries in different servers and Resolving TNS | Connectivity IssuesMust Have :- 05 years of hands on DBA experience in one or preferably both Oracle and MySQL- Should have gained progressive work experience in performing the DBA tasks listed in the "Job Responsibilities" section- Strong analytical problem solving skills and attention to detail- Strong ability to deep dive and troubleshoot performance issues- Familiarity with the SDLC- Familiarity with the agile methodology and continuous integration (i.e. nightly builds and releases).- Should be able to perform Impact Analysis and RISK Assessment.- Ability to coordinate well and work with Development teams, Testing Teams inside the IT organization and Client Teams- Ability to learn quickly and willingness to enhance skills.- Excellent initiative, interpersonal and problem solving skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ref:hirist.tech)
