Job description
Position Title: Project Engineer / Project Manager
Primary objective: This role is responsible for management and co-ordination of major multidiscipline top-side engineering project associated newbuilt FPSO / LNG spread moored offshore Brazil. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of teams of Project Engineers, Discipline Engineers and Designers involved in the development of detail design and follow-on engineering of 15 top-side Modules and associated interface management with Package vendors/ Hull/ other EPC top-side modules such as E-House/ Sea water treatment/ Gas treatment. The role will involve leading Project Management Team based in Singapore to manage all interfaces and interactions with client and effectively managing project delivery through the engineering team based in Worley India offices Specific Acountabilities · Leadership · Development of Project Execution Plans and procedures · Scope, budget and schedule development · Project cost and schedule monitoring, control and analysis · Planning for quality outcomes · Team building · Relationship management · Quality management including development of Quality Plan and its implementation · Participate and ensure implementation of Design Reviews and workshops · Progress and Performance reporting both internally and to client · Project change control · Overall delivery · Management and control of health, safety and environmental risks associated with project activities by development of HSE Execution plan and its implementation. · Development and implementation of initiatives to improve cost effectiveness. · Risk Management – Early identification and Effective management and control of risks. · Understanding and implementing, in design, the requirements of the Legislation/ Regulations/ Nominated class society/ Independent Verification Body/ Performance standards from Quality Assurance and Safety perspective · Maintaining design integrity and quality within the project team. · Mentoring, coaching and training of subordinates. Essential Skills/Experience · Excellent leadership and communication skills A proven track record in managing FPSO / LNG projects with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Project Engineer · Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems · A high level of customer focus Matching Indicators · Relevant engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years of LNG / FPSO experience Sound understanding of applicable local & international engineering standards and codes of practice Qualifications, Accreditation: Training (Essential) Trained in leadership and project execution. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.Training (Desirable) Training in risk management or quality.
