- Performs as Lead Designer role on medium / small size projects to successfully complete Layout engineering activities of the project.

2.0 | Key Responsibilities |
2.1 | - Management | Acts as Leave replacement to the Principal Designer as appropriate |
2.2 | - Quality/HSE | - Performs discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documents
- Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained
- Understands the Quality/HSE Management system and their procedures

2.3 | - Project Execution | - Prepare / check CCR Eqpt. Layout, Instrument Equipment Layouts, CCR Cable tray layouts
- Prepare / Check Instrument Location layouts, JB Layouts, overall cable tray layouts.
- Prepare / Check Inst. Hook up drawings, Installation drawings
- Prepare / Check Cable Block Diagram, JB wiring, Panel wiring drawing.
- Prepare / Check JB schedule, Cable Schedule
- Prepare / Check F&G layouts
- Prepare / Check Telecom layouts
- Prepare / Check Instrument Bulk MTO
- Performs discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documents
- Provide draft or mark up of Layouts to designers / draughtsman for further drafting
- Guides Designers / Cad Operators on Layout and Drafting Work, 3D Modelling work.
- Carry out 3D Modelling work pertaining to Instrumentation
- Familiar with the Company procedures and relevant standards & codes
- Executes the design works within schedule
- Resolves clash issues related with Instrument in 3D model.
- Co-ordinates with other disciplines & resolves the design interface issues related to layouts
- Provides design inputs related to layouts during all design phases and ensures availability of required inputs from their disciplines
- Actively communicates with other disciplines to optimise areas of interface during the design development, review and check processes involving layouts.

4.0 | Job Requirements |
4.1 | Language: | Should be able to speak and write English |
4.2 | Education: | Diploma in Instrument Engineering |
4.3 | Professional Experience: | 8 to 10 years preferably in consultancy and in Layout related work |
4.4 | Key Competencies (Functional) | - Shall be conversant with relevant Instrument Engineering standards / Statutory norms related to layouts, safety protection etc.
- Shall be conversant and shall be able to support Instrument Engineering deliverables comprising of Layouts, Hook-ups, Installation, wiring, block diagrams etc.
- Good knowledge of system procedures
- 3D Modelling in PDS / PDMS
