Certification Specialist Location: Pune (Baner) Experience - 7 to 10 Years Job Summary: The Certifications specialist is responsible for obtaining and maintaining relevant product certificates with a background in industrial cables, connectivity or networking background. In this work we are active in all stages in the product lifecycle: participating in development projects from the early concept feasibility phases to product launches, participate in product maintaining projects ensuring continues product compliance with applicable regulations during product’s entire lifetime. Job Responsibility: Lead and coordinate certification assignments for new and existing products to national and international bodies like TEC, UL, VDE, BIS, FCC, CSA, BIS, DNV, ABS, Telcordia, GB etc. Should be proficient in coordinating with different testing labs, product certification companies to ensure certification is done on time. Supporting and for the EMI-EMC testing, IT Safety testing, RF testing and Interface testing Good knowledge about the networking products like Switches, Router, Cables Connectors etc. Detailed product analysis & understanding the product as per certification requirement Hands on the electronic & electrical components & products. Ensure adequate agency management (ordering jobs, submittal of project applications, planning, testing, review, communication) Run the product approval process and ensures the liaison between company and other stakeholders Interpret design documentation and applicable standards, directives and other relevant legal requirements and apply those requirements to our products Lead and coordinate periodic audits from approvals agencies Develop and maintain approvals specific processes, routines, tools, and databases Suggest improvements and changes to certification strategies, e.g., cost improvements, use of preferred agencies, etc. Guide in certification related questions to Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing. Participate in development platforms and technology studies. Keep record of existing and coming applicable standards and regulations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronic & Telecommunication, Electrical) with a background in industrial cables, connectivity or networking background A minimum of 7 years’ experience in applying for product certifications with working on electronic & electrical products. Good communication skill, both written and oral in English is essential. Strong ability in organization, planning, control, communication, coordination, leadership and execution. Have strong logical thinking ability, comprehensive analysis ability and keen observation ability. Strong adaptability, learning ability, calculating ability and practical ability. Expert in Microsoft PC tools like PPT, word, excel, access, etc. Familiar with certification standards, understand the development trend of cable industry technology, have the spirit of technological innovation and the ability to dabble in high-tech. Have good competencies in managing through systems, problem solving, drive for results.Job tags
