Job description
Appetizer: Lead and manage warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective fulfilment of customer orders.
Job Summary: As a Shift in charge, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a warehouse, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for resolving operational issues and improving processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory
* Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary
* Resolve operational issues and improve processes to increase efficiency and productivity
* Collaborate with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure seamless fulfillment of customer orders
* Manage and maintain inventory records, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels and movements
* Develop and implement plans to optimize warehouse layout and operations
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to support their development and growth
* Ensure that all activities are performed per Maersk's policies and procedures
Who We Are Looking For:
* 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics
* Working e xperience of E-com/Retail operations and knowledge of WMS
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
* Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse operations software
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
