About The Role In this opportunity as
Senior Performance test engineer , you will:
- Design, maintain and enhance performance testing framework components.
- Develop a comprehensive performance testing strategy, including detailed Non-Functional Requirements (NFR). Translate the requirements into appropriate test scenarios.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to define performance requirements for new feature releases.
- Design, script and execute load, stress, stability, and scalability testing.
- Review, analyze and document test results and metrics with recommendations to the engineering leaders and senior managers of the engineering team.
- Analyze major changes introduced to our product and assess potential performance impact to define level of performance testing needed.
- Drive performance and load test operations towards a CI pipeline model to support continuous performance improvements.
- Gain a technical and functional understanding of our product architecture. Become part of the ongoing performance improvement of our products.
- Coach and assist other junior performance analysts with test strategies, technical issues with creating and executing performance tests, and test result analysis.
- Support end to end performance testing for projects independently, using Agile methodologies.
- Review business use cases, user stories, and other functional and non-functional requirements to identify key performance indicators.
- Review design documents, infrastructure implementations, and code to identify potential performance bottlenecks and defects.
- Analyze full stack of the application (web server, application server, database, etc.), identify performance bottlenecks (at application and OS layers) and support performance tuning exercises.
- Participate in defect tracking and reporting.
About You You're a fit for the role of
Senior Performance test engineer if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in relevant IT
- Software Performance test engineer experience or education.(Required)
- 5+ years of experience in a Performance test engineer role
- Experience with JVM and Tomcat/WebSphere Performance Analysis and Tuning JMeter and Java working knowledge is must.
- Experience automating performance testing through a CI/CD pipeline is nice to have Experience with Oracle or DB2 SQL performance analysis is nice to have.
- Experience with AWS Performance Analysis and Tuning is nice to have.
- Build, publish, and support reusable components to automate repeatable, manual test activities.
- Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications is nice to have Able to review the automation test case. Plus, knowledge and experience of Automation Framework setup and adherence to Scripting Standards – will be consider as Added advantage.
