Educational Requirements
Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree in any discipline
2 to 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer
Technical Requirements
Excellent spoken and written communication in English
Excellent Documentation Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proven capabilities with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Demonstrated ability in copy editing and developmental editing the work of others
Demonstrated knowledge of software and tools for writing content, incorporating graphics, and publishing documents
Experience with authoring tools used to create and publish content such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or similar applications.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Knowledge of developing and distributing help for cloud-based applications and writing API documentation, a plus
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for creating, editing, and delivering client-facing user materials and in-product help as well as user manuals, help files, quick reference guides, infographics, videos, or other materials all within tight timelines
Collaborates closely with the project teams to determine content requirements, providing estimates as needed.
Actively works on multiple concurrent projects
Partners with domain experts to ensure technical accuracy of materials
Conducts edits of the work of other technical writers
Tracks project progress against product development schedule to ensure deliverable deadlines are met. Tracks projects and deliverables in the Technical Publications database
Contributes to and follows all technical publications procedures, standards, and style guides
Remains informed of current trends, tools, and processes within the technical communications field
