We are looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Credit Analyst to join our Analytics team in Mumbai.

Your impact:

• Oversee the full customer lifecycle, from customer onboarding to identity screening (KYC/AML) to individual financing decisions

• Responsible for credit risk underwriting and managing of credit limits for MODIFIs Trade Finance customers

• In depth analysis of financial statements, company registers, credit scores and other sources of relevant credit assessment information

• Work on strategic underwriting projects, underwriting loss analysis and portfolio stress tests

• Further develop and implement underwriting principles in accordance with the MODIFI Risk Policy

• Partner with the product, business, legal, finance and engineering teams to build best-in-class Trade Finance products

Requirements

These are your skills and attitude that you bring:

• Minimal 5+ years experience in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Credit Insurance, Factoring or similar underwriting position. Very good understanding of the Indian market and preferably also Bangladesh and/or Pakistan

• Proven ability to make credit decisions

• Passion for international trade and development and how digital Trade Finance can create significant growth for such businesses

• In depth knowledge of financial analysis with IFRS and GAAP, modeling, systems and reporting

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic environment

• Academic degree in business or economics

• You are fluent in English
