Manager - PR & Social Media
Mumbai, India
We are DNEG, one of the world's leading visual effects and animation companies for feature film and television, with worldwide offices and studios across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Manager - PR & Social Media to join our growing team in Mumbai. You will play a key role in developing, managing and implementing PR and social media campaigns to promote our movie productions and increase brand visibility, awareness, and market share for DNEG, and Prime Focus in India.
This position is based in Mumbai and requires full-time on-site work.
Working as part of the global Marketing & Communications team and reporting to the Senior Manager - Marketing & Communications in India, you will be responsible for:
Public Relations:
Drive strategic PR campaigns and media relations initiatives to significantly enhance brand awareness for DNEG, Prime Focus and movie production projects.
Manage stakeholder relationships, fostering positive and collaborative partnerships to achieve PR objectives.
Manage and collaborate with the PR agency to ensure consistent messaging, seamless campaign execution.
Develop compelling press releases, media notes, and thought leadership content that garner positive media coverage and establish DNEG and Prime Focus as industry leaders.
Proactively identify newsworthy stories within DNEG and Prime Focus, and collaborate with internal departments to craft engaging narratives that resonate with target audiences.
Coordinate media interactions for spokespersons, ensuring effective communication and message delivery during interviews, press conferences, and other media events.
Liaise effectively with various departments to identify newsworthy information and ensure timely and accurate communication with the PR agency.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists across India to secure valuable media placements and build positive brand reputation.
Develop and deliver impactful presentations for internal and external audiences, effectively communicating key messages and strategic initiatives.
Developing and executing engaging internal communication campaigns to promote projects and initiatives within the company.
Social Media:
Develop and execute social media strategies for individual movie production projects, including creating unique content calendars, scheduling posts across platforms, and analysing performance data to optimise engagement and reach.
Collaborate closely with film production teams to understand each project's core message, target audience, and overall marketing objectives, ensuring social media content aligns effectively.
Craft engaging and interactive content that drives excitement and anticipation for upcoming movies, fostering a strong online community.
Manage the social media presence and follower base across all platforms for DNEG, and Prime Focus. This includes responding to comments and messages, engaging with audiences, and proactively monitoring online conversations.
Define, design, and implement comprehensive digital and social media campaigns and strategies across the company's online platforms, encompassing websites, internal communication channels, and various social media platforms.
Experience:
7-10 years of experience developing and executing impactful social media strategies and content across various SM platforms.
Must Have
Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally within the film or creative/entertainment industry
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing PR campaigns and social media strategies that achieve measurable results
Proven ability to manage and collaborate with PR and social media agencies, ensuring clear communication, effective strategy development, and successful campaign execution.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work in a pressurised environment, responding calmly and effectively
Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including social media, and content marketing.
Highly self motivated and comfortable operating in a stand-alone role while continuing to work effectively on your own initiative
Experience briefing and creating promotional content – both written and filmed
Experience building relationships with key members of internal teams to ensure delivery of materials for marketing and publicity purposes in a timely manner
