Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Chennai, India. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a proven ability to utilize Tally software for financial recording and reporting. This role involves handling a variety of financial tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient management of the company's finances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all daily transactions in Tally software.
• Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with legal regulations.
• Monitor financial transactions and reports to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
• Process invoices, bills, and payments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Manage payroll functions, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Coordinate with other departments to collect financial data and ensure it is accurately represented in the company's records.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the financial operations.
• Assist in financial audits by providing necessary information and documentation to auditors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge and experience with Tally software is essential.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and local languages.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
