Role Summary :
As a video editor, manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects to create the final video ensuring the quality and delivery of the finished result. Working closely with the director/brand managers to achieve the desired end result.
Job Description:
- Take a brief from Brand Manager / Director for execution of the story
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video
- Read scripts and go through the raw material & Log sheet. Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video
- Edit segments ensuring correct use of music, dialogues, graphics and effects while experimenting with styles and techniques
- Create rough and final cuts for review
- Work on the feedback shared by stakeholders
- Continuously discover and implement new editing techniques and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
Experience & Skills Required:
- 2 years of experience
- Experience of working on short-form content is a must
- Understanding of lifestyle, healthcare, Fitness editing formats and willingness to experiment
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio with a keen eye for detail and creativity
- Strong understanding of music & sfx
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- The ability to multitask and to work well as part of a team
