Job description


EIS Software Technical Advisor is a technical role and shall be responsible for delivering software implementation knowledge to Partner network in how to work with EIS technology on EIS software customer implementation projects.

The person working on this role is expected to be a mediator between Partner implementation teams and EIS SMEs to determine how existing technical capabilities respond to customer implementation project needs. EIS Software Technical advisor acts primarily as a facilitator to EIS partner s technical teams. Consulting is a highly valuable activity aimed to build and enhance the competency of Partner teams in EIS software.

To achieve this goal, the EIS Technical Advisor uses the knowledge and skills to:
* Conduct Initial technical enablement in EIS technology.
* Construct Learning Objectives using EISU Learning paths. Manage and control the training execution, supplied by EISU. Training in this context is not only the formal training class, but more about the knowledge transfer.
* Explain the specifics of EIS software development, testing and documenting culture, best implementation practices, approaches, and processes.
* Identify problem areas through participation in planning sessions.
* Have control over the correct understanding and implementation of requirements by making sure all process gates (reviews) are passed properly.
* Provide timely solutions to technical issues related to the understanding of requirements and understanding of product features.
* Provide feedback on team retrospective and on a day-to-day basis if requested.
* Assist team in working on areas of improvement.
* Help Partner teams to set short- and long-term goals they want to achieve.
* Highlight issues and concerns about Partner resources performance in a constructive manner.
* Review Partner teams deliverables and help to understand what and how can be improved.
* Support Partner resources in specific and focused areas to improve their performance or productivity.
* Help Partner teams to feel supported, motivated, and engaged with the organization.

Responsibilities:
* Help with building EIS expertise at Partner side, which may include:
* Work with Partner team management on defining EIS technical enablement strategy for Partner resources.
* Improve partner team awareness in EIS software
* Act as a conduit to improve partner access to technical enablement human, documentation and other enablement resources at EIS Group.
* Provide Implementation-related best practices and high-level technical guidance to SI technical resources considered for all variety of roles needed for EIS Implementation projects.
* Manage partner progress dashboard per Partner.
* Track technical capabilities of SI Partner and Promote visibility into partner capabilities across EIS leadership.
* Collaboration with Partner resource management and provide feedback on Partner resources performance in terms of code quality, guidelines and standards proper use, etc.
* Propagate EIS development best practices among partner resources
* Help Partner teams to organize the working process, covering all gates and steps according to EIS Implementation methodology

Contribute to projects where particular Partner team is involved:
* Support integration of Base Upgrades
* Help to Investigate unstable builds and failed deploys including interaction with the BASE support team to investigate and reproduce issues related to BASE defects (if applicable)
* Provide assistance and support to issues reported by Partner teams
* Be part of Partner Implementation teams: review backlog, provide feedback on retrospective, participate in planning where applicable
* Assist teams in conducting reviews of various deliverables
* Setup Code Review Process and perform code review, in collaboration with partner experts and EIS SME s.
*Provide feedback to teams after each code review - on an individual basis and on a team level.
* Regularly check the effectiveness of Partner involvement into Implementation projects from various aspects - Dev/QA/BA/Architecture, where Partners are involved in EIS Implementation projects.
* Represent World Wide (WW) Services on each implementation project with SI resource component even in cases if there are no EIS WWServices resources assigned.
* EIS Organization enablement assets development and validation.
* Contribute to the enablement methodology for other EIS Software Technical Advisors.
* In collaboration with EISU team, contribute to technical enablement components of various technical roles, using existing EISU content, and create the other, non-existing yet assets.
* Collaborate with other advisors, for solutioning and implementation projects troubleshooting
* Jointly with Partner technical management assess if EIS enablement assets are consumable and develop improvement plans for respective EIS department.

Requirements/Desired Experience:

*Practical knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and SAF/Agile methodology.
* Team Leadership and Customer Orientation.
* Advanced spoken, written, and listening skills in English
* 5 years experience strong understanding of object-oriented software development methodology in Java
* knowledge of development, debugging, and logging tools
