Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our team at Good Five Yes Job Consultancy. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting our senior accountants in managing the financial transactions and records of our clients. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India with a focus on general accounts, GST, Tally, financial accounting, billing process, invoice processing, and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with GST regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in Tally software for financial recording and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good understanding of financial accounting and bookkeeping
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day financial transactions and bookkeeping activities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Handle general accounts duties such as bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report preparation
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
- Collaborate with senior accountants to support financial analysis and planning
- Contribute to the billing process and invoice processing
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and records
