Job description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator.
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of logistics operations, including order processing, shipment coordination, and inventory management. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with various teams and departments to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain.
- Processing customer orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Coordinating shipments with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth transportation and on-time delivery.
- Tracking shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Maintaining and update inventory records, including monitoring stock levels and coordinating with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed.
- Ability effectively liaise with stakeholders & procurement in order to execute stock replenishment and manage material availability.
- Identifying and resolve any issues or obstacles related to logistics and inventory.
- Assisting in the implementation and enforcement of logistics and shipping policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conducting regular audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corresponding solutions.
- Coordinating logistics operations, including arranging transportation, maintaining portal accounts, tracking shipments, verifying delivery against an order, recording goods received.
- Assuring quality of received hardware products and equipment, implementing policies of goods inspections on receipt and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues or discrepancies.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records related to logistics and transportation, including shipping documents, customs documentation, invoices, and other relevant records.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements in logistics and supply chain management.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Proven work experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation modes, and shipping methods.
- Proficient in using logistics software and systems. . Eg. Oracle Netsuite, Alvys, others
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
