SUMMARY
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleansing, and generating insights from raw data coming from multiple source systems and translating it into clear and concise reports which demonstrate the ongoing performance of the Procurement organization and related subject matter, including the corporate Travel & Expense card program. This position supports the resolution of business-critical issues by developing data analysis, implementing process improvement, and delivering customized reporting needs of the department. The successful candidate for this role will have excellent analytical and research skills and relevant industry experience managing information and data.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department
- Maintain databases/dashboards, develop improvements, and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy
- Create both recurring and ad hoc reports as required
- Regularly examine data and draft reports to locate and resolve inaccuracies
- Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports
- Create strategic business reports that provide insight into key data points
- Effectively communicate the results and insights of data analysis in written and verbal form to leadership
- Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends
- Provide support to Procurement team to monitor strategic initiatives for management, compliance, and efficiencies
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITES
- Fluent in Microsoft products, including Power BI, and other data analysis tools
- 3-5 years' experience in professional environment, preferably financial or technology services
- Strong track record of delivering accurate and insightful analyses and reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Ability to use SQL and reporting tools to create pivot tables, graphs, and chart
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
- Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
- General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow
- Coordinate capture, analysis, and delivery of accurate and timely information
- Monitor performance measurements, resolve issues, drive continuous improvements in service levels
- Familiarity with systems such as Concur, Coupa and Conga CLM is preferred
- Analytical and research skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of suitable data analytic process and ability to handle a large volume of data entry with high accuracy
- Good written and oral communications skills and able to work effectively with all levels within the organization
- Experience with PowerBI or other data reporting tools preferred
