Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Type: Full-Time Experience: 2 years mini Responsibilities and Duties: The candidate will be involved in research and development activities related to configuration design of components and systems being developed for in-space qualification and applications. Candidate will be responsible for the 3D modelling of the parts & components (Part design, Sheet metal design, piping & tubing design, and Assembly design) and 2D drafting including GD&T using Design software (use a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models). Fundamental knowledge of Modelling and design of mechanical components and assemblies including, Structural frames/panels, tanks, mechanisms, supporting secondary structural elements and assembly electronic components like PCBs, Interface connectors etc. All design work is carried out to the required standards of accuracy with specific regard to the Quality Assurance, Design Guides and Practice Notes and appropriate statutory regulations and codes of practice. Develop engineering test plans for designs. Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies. Validate components as per defined engineering requirements. Good understanding of the basic functioning of the components used in mechanical design (metals, insulators, plastics, motors, connectors, gaskets, thermal interface materials, potting, etc.) and perform suitable material selection. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner by developing alternative solutions. Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals. Perform other functions as required or assigned. Complies with all company policies and standards. Qualification: M.E/MTech/ B.E/B.Tech in CAD/CAM/CAE, Mechanical Engineer or engineering or related engineering discipline required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Writing must be clear and unambiguous. Proficiency using 2D & 3D mechanical design and analysis tools (For. e.g., NX CAD, AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid works, ANSYS and similar tools). A “self-starter” attitude, confidence, and an ability to communicate effectively with all Management levels. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas. A good grasp of engineering and design principles.Job tags
