About the role:
The successful candidate will serve as the point-person for the Medtronic LABS reporting product, SPICE Insights. SPICE Insights serves as the primary reporting tool for Medtronic LABS and is essential for measuring impact. They are looking for a highly technical product owner with expertise in data sourcing and management, data queries (SQL preferred), and data visualization techniques. This individual will be responsible for managing and updating existing dashboards as well as formulating the requirements for future dashboards. This individual needs to have strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse set of internal and external
stakeholders.
What you'll get to do
• Own the Medtronic LABS reporting products (SPICE Insights) across the entire product lifecycle.
• Build custom reporting dashboards that provide insight into key metrics of business performance.
• Serve as the point person internally for prioritizing data requests, including generating reports for
internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain the various data sources, including all documentation of data sources including data dictionary and source to target mapping.
• Manage and maintain all reporting dashboards, including making updates to existing widgets and queries.
• Partner closely with design, product, and commercial teams to understand requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to develop an understanding of the metrics and business workflows.
To succeed in this role, you should have
• Bachelors or Master's in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field. Concentration in data analytics or data science.
• Growth mindset and willingness to go above, beyond, and outside of the formal role.
• 3+ years of experience with data products, such as data sourcing, management, and visualization
products.
• Experience working with Agile product development process.
• Experience with query languages such as SQL (advanced skill level preferred).
• Proven ability to build data visualizations to best represent the underlying source data.
• Ability to understand source data and build custom analytics.
• Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and use data to make decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to Have
• Experience with healthcare data and/or healthcare programs.
• Experience working in both Asia and Africa.
• Experience with AWS Technologies, including AWS Redshift and AWS Quicksight.
Travel : 10-15% (including international travel)
