Overview

The SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) consultant plays a critical role in implementing and supporting SAP FICO modules within the organization. They are responsible for configuring, testing, and deploying SAP solutions to meet the financial management and reporting needs of the business. This role is integral to ensuring the optimal use of SAP FICO functionality to drive financial performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand finance and accounting requirements
  • Design and implement SAP FICO solutions to meet business objectives
  • Configure SAP FICO modules to integrate with financial processes and reporting
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance of SAP FICO configurations
  • Train end-users on SAP FICO functionality and processes
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP FICO modules
  • Optimize financial processes through SAP FICO system enhancements
  • Participate in SAP FICO system upgrades and implementations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP FICO configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with other SAP modules
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations
  • Identify and resolve issues related to SAP FICO functionality
  • Stay updated on SAP FICO best practices and industry trends
  • Support the development of financial reports and dashboards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to SAP FICO

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP FICO consultant or a similar role
  • Proven expertise in SAP FICO configuration and implementation
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and techniques
  • Experience in conducting end-user training and support
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Relevant SAP certifications preferred
  • Proven track record of successful SAP FICO project implementations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SAP FICO advancements and updates
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
