Job description
Manages and supports overall plant health and soil nutrition strategies for all gardens to include sustainable gardening practices and integrated Pest Management in the outdoor and indoor greens.
- Design/Drawing review.
- CAD knowledge.
- Project Budgeting.
- Coordination for effective project management and handing over to operation.
- Ensure sustainability, biodiversity and ESG compliance.
- Responsible for the Operational department budgets, budget monitoring, strategic planning, and any horticultural capital projects as needed e.g., installation of new gardens, Orchards etc.
- Project execution as per the drawings & SOPs.
- Establishes and oversees a systematic plant records policy, including direction of the plant collection policy and design aesthetic in coordination with the Master plan, Mission, and Strategy.
- Responsible for the Operation & Maintenance, budget monitoring, strategic planning, and any horticultural capital projects as needed (e.g., installation of new gardens, Orchards etc.).
- Maintain inventory, propagation, supplies and orders additional materials as needed.
- Develops, maintains, and promotes positive and professional relationships with staff, volunteers, vendor partners and contractors.
- Ensure effective measures of water management.
- Ensure effective measures of plants protection.
- Ensure effective seasonal plants plantation & after care.
- Ensure effective control of ornamental plant & turf management.
Qualification
Graduate in Agriculture, master's degree (Preferred) in horticulture or a related field.
Experience
12+ years related work experience.
Other Skills
- Understanding of drawings & BOQ.
- CAD knowledge.
- O & M after development.
- Well versed with horticulture SOPs and its implementation
- Should have expertise in developing & maintaining in-house indoor & outdoor plants nurseries.
- Analytical ability
- Communication skill.
- Personality attributes- confidence, decision making, self-motivation and critical thinking.
Criteria - Ability to get implemented projects, O & M as per SOPs. Implementation/execution of new development projects as per the design/drawing. Proficiency in indoor/outdoor plants nursery management. Must know budgeting, BOQ preparation & integrated pest management
