A refractory engineer is a specialized professional who specializes in the design, selection, installation, maintenance, and performance evaluation of refractory materials and systems. Refractory engineers play a crucial role in industries where high temperatures and harsh conditions are involved, such as steelmaking, cement production, glass manufacturing, petrochemical processing, and more. They work to ensure that refractory materials withstand extreme heat, chemical exposure, and mechanical stress while maintaining operational efficiency and safety.
