Role Overview

We are seeking a Director, Software Engineering to join the NetElixir family and lead our e-commerce development delivery management, process engineering, and scaleup, IT infrastructure management and quality assurance and, security compliance initiatives. This role directly reports to the Business Head - India Business Center. This is a strategic department leadership and people management role and to be successful you will need to have the deep technical knowledge and 10+ years of proven people, project, and process leadership experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the Engineering Department's People and Process Vision and Product Innovation Charter as a member of the core strategic leadership team with direct reporting to the Head of NetElixir's India Business Center.

• Department Leadership: Lead all Software Engineering initiatives at NetElixir with an emphasis on championing Innovation and managing critical technical projects in alignment with key business priorities; Delivery Management of complex e-commerce development and platform migration projects for NetElixir's global customers; Drive Quality Assurance Practices, standards and metrics to achieve high levels of service availability and customer satisfaction; IT Infrastructure Management; Security and Process Compliance; Coordination with Internal and External Audit Teams related to ITIL, ISO2001, SOC2, GDPR, CCPA compliance norms.

• People Leadership : Build and Grow the Software Engineering team as an Inspiring People Manager who leads by example – Recruit and hire the most qualified individuals while championing the core values of NetElixir and with an eye towards diversity; Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members; Ensure your team members are in alignment with the core purpose of the organization and have clear priorities, adequate resources and feel empowered to excel; Drive initiatives that help us continue our growth as a learning organization.

• Process Leadership : Establish scalable processes that support the organization's objective of 3x growth by 2025. Support the IT Infrastructure team in managing Cloud Infrastructure - Server Capacity Definition, Database Scaling, Software Licensing Requirements for Development and Production Environments; Act as the primary contact and/or establish processes for the different stakeholders from operations of NetElixir requiring the support of IT & Software Engineering Services; Interface and track the activities of the vendors in defining the scope of work, effort estimation, and resource management for different needs of the business (Ex: IT Infrastructure, Contract employees, etc.); Communicate status, risks, and offer mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of all committed projects to cross-functional teams and Executive management.

• You possess a great attitude and drive to get things done as an exemplary people manager. You are able to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
• Prior Experience in best-in-class frameworks/ methodologies including - Project/Program Management, CMMI, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc. will be an advantage.
• You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior Experience in IT Infrastructure Management, Servers Capacity Planning, Email Administration, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure Management like AWS, GCP will be an advantage.
• You have the unique ability to connect, engage and collaborate with internal teams across countries with strong sensitivity and desire to work synergistically across diverse, disparate cultures.
• You are a lifelong learner who is passionate about building learning organizations.
• Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Business or Computer Applications. MBA Degree is an Advantage.
