Job description

Join the India team of most cutting-edge and well-funded storage startup in Silicon Valley as the SOC Lead / Design Engineer responsible for designing complex SOC using ARM architecture.

As our SoC Lead - CPU Subsystem Architecture & Optimization, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting the brains of our next-generation SoC products. You'll lead a talented team in designing, optimizing, and delivering high-performance CPU subsystems, shaping the very core of our technology. Qualifications Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (PhD a plus) Min 5 years of prior experience in working with ARM cores and ARM based subsystem development. Expertise in ARM CPU debug requirements and infrastructure (Coresight) development Experience in ARM HW/design development tools Expertise in translating firmware requirements into CPUSS architecture development. Experience in SoC/CPU design and development, with a proven track record of success in ARM or RSIC-V CPU architectures. Demonstrated expertise in CPU performance optimization techniques. In-depth understanding of NoC and NIC design principles, methodologies, and tools. Solid leadership experience, capable of motivating and guiding diverse technical teams through complex projects. Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with industry standard SoC design tools and methodologies (e.g., RTL, EDA tools).

Responsibilities: Spearhead the architecture, design, and optimization of CPU subsystems for our high-performance SoC projects, focusing on CPU architectures like ARM, RISC-V, etc. Mastermind performance tuning strategies, achieving optimal balance between power, performance, and area (PPA) for next-generation SoCs. Develop and oversee sophisticated Network-on-Chip (NoC) and Network Interface Controller (NIC) designs, ensuring seamless data flow and connectivity within the SoC. Foster a collaborative environment by actively leading and mentoring team members, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Bridge the gap between hardware, firmware, and system architects, driving cohesive and innovative solutions that push technological boundaries. Stay ahead of the curve by continually expanding your knowledge of cutting-edge CPU architectures and SoC design trends. Manage the full lifecycle of CPU subsystem projects, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to deadlines and impeccable quality standards. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing insightful updates and strategic guidance on project progress and technological advancements.
