The opportunity

To oversee the activities of our SAP Procurement and Logistics application support team, we are searching for an SAP functional application leader with over 12 years of experience who is hands-on in SAP Procurement and Logistics. This position would primarily focus on day-to-day application support of SAP Procurement and Logistics functions, enhancements, and various continuous improvements. This position would oversee a team of multiple functional analysts.

How You'll Spend Your Day

  • In charge of overseeing SAP operations in the areas of Procurement and Logistics as well as integration with pertinent satellite systems.
  • Ensure SAP services are provided and maintained in line with SLAs, established norms, and regulatory decrees.
  • Work closely together with all IT stakeholders, including business units.
  • Establishes guidelines for team operations and makes sure that crucial protocols are followed based on discipline-specific knowledge.
  • Engage in active collaboration with business teams to pinpoint and choose the solution that best meets the needs of the company.
  • Be responsible for governance of major enhancements and project implementations in SAP and relevant satellite systems.
  • Establish a governance method in close coordination with stakeholder management to decide on budgetary requirements and priorities for implementing changes to any SAP environment.
  • Oversee and lead a globally dispersed SAP application support staff.
  • In charge of minor enhacements as well as on-demand assistance with troubleshooting, researching, analyzing, and resolving production-related problems.
  • Responsible to create the necessary documentation for system modifications in accordance with SOX change control guidelines and protocols.
  • Oversee production operation tasks such as bug fixes, upgrades, patches, enhancements, and release management.
  • Examine current business procedures to find areas for automation and ongoing enhancements that will increase productivity.
  • Support month- end, quarter-end, and year-end activities. Provide elevated support to business groups during these critical periods.
  • Take the lead in investigating and resolving serious, high-impact issues and incidents.
  • Working together with teams of IT suppliers
  • Adapts to departmental goals and plans to account for operational and resource constraints.
  • Provides functional guidance and leadership to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
  • Encourage the change procedures needed to put updated business and operational systems into place within your sphere of influence.
  • Keep up great lines of contact with the department and encourage information sharing to enhance business assistance.
  • Facilitates the testing and resolution of issue fixes in both local and global interfaces.
  • Actively support the impact assessment process from a functional standpoint, ensuring that it aligns with business requirements. Manage necessary localizations, boost global template adherence, and bring up any necessary template changes with the COE team.
  • Recognize interdependencies and make sure that interdependent projects, other E2E teams, and global support tracks are integrated.
  • Take charge of and oversee the team's internal and external resources.
  • Management control over team members' hiring, development, pay instructions, terminations, performance planning, and other matters.
  • In charge of formulating policies in his or her purview.
  • A member of the leadership group for ERP support services.

Your Experience And Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer information systems, or a similar discipline.
  • More than 12 years of experience managing and delivering application support on a worldwide scale. Strong functional and technical background in SAP Logistics and Procurement modules, including business application design and analysis
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL standards and production support metrics, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Possessing pertinent industry credentials such as PMP, ITIL, or SAP would be beneficial.
  • Possess experience collaborating with multinational business and IT groups that operate across borders.
  • Solid understanding of the essential satellite systems and SAP Procurement and Logistics modules' interaction points
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact with colleagues, planners, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success managing a team of more than 20 people.
  • Practical experience in application system design, development, and implementation is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the phases of the project life cycle, best practices, procedures, and data architecture, quality, integration, and master data management.
  • Knowledge of the actual requirements for corporate reporting as well as the month-end close and consolidation procedure.
  • Extremely skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all its components, including macros and pivots.
  • A strong commitment to process and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient time management abilities, including the capacity to oversee several priorities at once.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, including the capacity to offer correction suggestions.
  • Effective networking and communication abilities to interact and collaborate with client teams and technical teams, both internal and external
  • Capacity to collaborate with IT and business partners both individually and as a team.
  • Demonstrated capacity to function well in a group setting and under pressure.
