Job description

This position is having the primary purpose of ensuring compliance to the Herbalife requirements and adherence to HLF’s global procedures in Quality assurance and control during the manufacturing, storage and Transportation of Herbalife raw and packing material from RM Vendor to Contract manufacturing location in India.

This position is for the Supplier Quality Assurance for Herbalife raw materials and Packing Material. This position will be responsible for various QA activities on the site including but not limited to:

Ø Risk Assessment (Physical, Chemical, Biological, Allergen, Radioactive Hazard) – All RM's Ø New vendor (RM, PM & Distribution partner) qualification & Existing vendor re-qualification. Ø Vendor Performance management. Ø Prepare Input Quality Procedure (Covering incoming receipt, Sampling, handling, testing, OOS, rejection at CM and include Supplier performance criteria). Ø Monitoring of vendor process on set frequencies to ascertain compliance to Herbalife Quality procedure requirements. Ø Conduct periodic audits of the facility and operations associated with Herbalife Raw and Packing Material to help Vendor to meet and improve the quality and hygiene standards as per Herbalife Quality standards, Ministry of Ayush, Ayurveda product standard, FSSC and FSSAI GMP Guidelines. Ø Communicate with Vendor/CM on regular basis for any applicable changes in product process impacting quality. Ø Coordinate with Vendor for Rejection / complaint handling and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective actions Preventive Actions (CAPA) Ø Support Vendor in Troubleshooting with respect to raw materials, packing materials and process quality challenges and drive improvements against the faced challenges at contract manufacturing site and work on defect free supply at Herbalife WH or CM locations. Ø Conduct regular training to Vendor team on updates in Quality requirements and any changes in Quality procedures or as per requirement. Ø Collate information for regular MIS and share periodic reports with team based on the requirements defined Ø Participation in cross functional improvement projects and meetings and conferences as per defined responsibilities Ø Testing of RM, PM and participate in OOS investigation. Ø Projects: Continual Improvement projects for Vendor Quality Assurance and control

Education : Ø Graduation or Post Graduation in Food Technology/ Food Science/ Pharma/ other allied streams.

Skills : Ø

Candidates Must have experience in Supplier/Vendor Quality Assurance Ø Experienced or Trained in Quality and/or Food Safety Management system implementation (HACCP/ ISO 9001/ ISO 22K/ FSSC 22k) Ø Having working knowledge on basic Quality control processes such as Calibration, OOS, OOT, Sampling, Relevant Test Procedures Ø Must be well versed with Microsoft office (Word, Power point & Excel) Ø Good Communication Skills both written and verbal.

Experience:

Ø Minimum 8 years’ experience in relevant field. Ø Industry Type – Nutraceutical/ Pharma/ Food/ Ayurveda.
