Job Description
- A high standard quality of work with respect to design deliverables.
- Administrative support to Project lead electrical engineer in respect of:
- Set up and management of document (drawing) control system (DMS)
- Drawing production schedule planning (set-up and control)
- Design budget management
- Manpower planning
- Assist as necessary with respect to department needs.
- Provide technical support, e.g. prepare Technical Work Practices (TWP’s)
- Provide developmental guidance and mentoring to others
- Carry out technical cold eye reviews and studies as required
- Prepare Design Alerts on issues raised during engineering.
- Carry out design technical Audits on projects if asked
- Specialist Role:
- Update and develop in house software applications
- Validate outsourced software
- Represent India Operations on outside Technical Committees
- Leadership of large design teams in a multi-discipline project environment, to produce deliverables on schedule, of the correct quality and technical content.
- Presentation and coordination of electrical design issues at various forums including model reviews, technical coordination meetings, procurement/vendor meetings and design audit reviews.
- Raise technical and execution issues to the Deputy Manager and Chief Specialist within the department for resolution.
