Requirements & Competencies - Bachelor's Degree
- 9+ years as System Engineer in a Medium to Large Enterprise Environment
- Must have experience with NSX-T management
- Must have experience with vmware vsphere, vcenter
- Should have experience with vRops, vRLI, vrealize network insight (vRNI)
- Should have experience with VMWare horizion view (VDI)
- Good to have experience with vSAN
- Good to have experience with SRM
- Good to have experience Windows OS/Linux operating system
- Should have knowledge on ticketing tool Service now etc.
- Should be comfortable with Incident management, Change Management, Service request management and problem management.
- Advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and creative thinking skills.
- Advanced understanding of client server technology
- Experience with Patching , upgrade to vmware stack
- Understanding of technical support practices such as ticket documentation, SLAs, and escalation processes.
- Any configuration management tool such as Chef or any automation tool would be a plus
- Quick learner, self-starter, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work within time constraints and follow set processes and procedures.
- Customer focused, a team player, and able to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Industry certifications such as VCP,VCAP,DCV, ITIL V3/V4, etc. a plus
- Advanced level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Should be comfortable with 24*7 support in rotational shift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities - Responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the Vmware environment
- Provide Escalation support for VMWare hosted infrastructure, Windows servers/Linux servers, and enterprise 3rd party systems.
- Support and maintain core VMware services including ESXi hosts, vcenter servers,vmware horizon, vRops, vRNI,vRLI, SRM.
- Support and maintain 3rd party on-prem and cloud-based enterprise systems. Like VMWare horizon workspace one edge services
- Analyze network activity and performance, using network logs to troubleshoot and track the nature and resolution of problems.
- Managing, and troubleshooting VMWare environment
- Patching, regular upgrades for the vmware products.
- Assist in the decommissioning of servers and system resources as needed.
- Participation in annual DR testing exercises as required.
- Maintain and create documentation as required.
