Title : Project Manager – Process and Packaging technology
Location : Baddi, Himachal Pradesh
This role will manage the CAB projects independently related to gum, mints and fruity confection process and packaging technology to deliver projects goals and ensuring all the engineering solutions & installations are compliance with Mars Global Standards & Best Practice also in line with Lean and Sustainability approach.
As equipment & process expert, this role will also be responsible to develop/maintain lean, competitive technical solutions with business considerations to support India Mars wrigley business
What will be your key responsibilities - As the Process and Packaging technology Engineer, you will manage Capital Projects related to process and packaging technologies to proudly deliver the project scope within budget, on time and to high quality:
- Manage a number of CAB projects simultaneously ;
- Be responsible for Safety and Q&FS during project execution ;
- Be responsible for Engineering project budget and timing controls ;
- Coordinate cross functional project teams and secure project support and resources.
- Be responsible for developing Engineering related supply solutions and initiating projects that adhere to Engineering Standards and Best Practices, are Lean, Sustainable and with a business wide perspective and cross functional considerations
- Support the Factories as needed for technical challenges and technology strategy/direction related solutions
- Continuously improve process technologies related to gum, mints and fruity confection to make India factories run with better efficiency in line with the short term business needs and long term strategy
- As the representative of the India team be actively involved with and contribute to the Regional/Global Engineering Standardisation and the Best Practice communities (upon appointment).
- Provide engineering guidance to other departments and train less experienced engineers on growing technical competencies and filling pipeline of engineering talent
- Support team leader to deliver effective team building
What are we looking for - Bachler degree with mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation engineering experience
- Familiar with Office, CAD … Engineering related software
- Fluent in English with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Experience in the engineering function with:
- Experience in FMCG /Food processing , more preferably confectionary process and packaging engineering.
- Understand related basic Electrical & Control and utility knowledge
- Safety, Q&FS, Lean & SIG mind-sets
- Food industry experience, cross-functional experience and knowledge on multiple Engineering technologies are considered advantages
- Proven strong project management skills and functional competency ( 15 years); Good track record in delivering multi-million USD CAB projects
- Experienced in managing and building effective project teams made up of cross functional team members
- Solid interpersonal skills in providing effective communication to management and other key stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills
