Background Verification Specialist
Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Background Verification Specialist to join our team. As a Background Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into the backgrounds of individuals applying for employment or other relevant purposes. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of information provided by candidates, safeguarding the integrity of our organization, and mitigating potential risks. Role & responsibilities Should have a sound understanding of the complete background check process, understanding compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Verify and validate candidate credentials, including education, employment history, and professional licenses. Initiate the appropriate checks as per the client SOWs with the Vendor. Collaborate with the vendor and candidates to gather accurate and up-to-date information. Ensure all cases initiated, are followed up daily to achieve closures with the TAT without miss. Maintain a meticulous and organized record of background verification processes and outcomes. Provide daily reports to the reporting managers, and leadership, regarding the day's activities. Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion. Address candidate inquiries and discrepancies in a professional and timely manner. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Proven experience in conducting background checks, preferably in a corporate or HR environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact cross-functionally and/or with seniors, with an ability to convey messages in a clear and structured manner. Basic understanding of IT systems and knowledge of MS Office ( MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc). Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic.Job tags
