We're looking for a strong DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You'll be working closely with an amazing group of developers and help shape the company's front-end architecture and design.
The Team:
Papaya is building the future of cloud-based Payroll and Payment services connected with state-of-the-art homegrown payment systems. We are building a new team to develop the core components that enable new services and connect existing ones. You will be working closely with architects and infrastructure developers to design and implement cloud infrastructure for all environments. We work closely with other R&D teams to develop integration strategies that fit their needs.
You will:
- Design and implement Papaya Global's cloud infrastructure for all environments.
- Work closely with R&D departments located in Poland, Ukraine, and Israel.
- Own our production environments while managing stability, availability, and performance.
- Partner with R&D stakeholders to propose and implement holistic solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, and capability of supporting Papaya Global's growth in the next few years.
- Review Papaya Global's observability solutions and work closely with Platform stakeholders to propose a unified roadmap for a comprehensive observability solution that implements a self-service model and can be deployed in an automated way.
- Work with our Information Security team to improve network, application, and general security, and implement a vision for data isolation and internal and external data access policies.
Requirement:
- 9-14 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer.
- 9-14 years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Approaches infrastructure and technical challenges with a DevOps mindset.
- Extensive expertise in creating and managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in at least one monitoring and logging tool (Splunk, Grafana, Coralogix, Datadog).
- Experience in at least two databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Proficiency in Bash scripting language and knowledge of Linux Systems.
- Proficiency in at least one automation scripting language (Go, Python, Nodejs).
- Experience with managing Kubernetes microservices in a GitOps way (ArgoCD Advantage).
- Excellent knowledge of container and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing secure environments and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience writing and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Advantage).
