Job description
BDO RISE is hiring for a Core Tax Services Senior Manager/AD who will is responsible for advising clients on the SUT tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating, and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.
In this role, Core Tax Services Senior Manager/AD is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential Sales & Use tax compliance equivalent to US Senior Managers including strong skills with Vertex, data import and project management. Experience with tax bill pay platforms Bill.com and Anybill. Strong excel, MS Access and Alteryx skills. In addition, you will be involved in the marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise and specialization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or other relevant field required Master's degree in accounting beneficial, master's degree in taxation preferred EA or CPA is an added advantage Experience 14+ years of prior experience Lead and manage the business relationship with a focus on high-value quality SUT tax advice and seek to expand services to clients. Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, consulting, etc. Manage quality on SUT compliance and consulting deliverables Review research findings Remain up to date on current SUT tax practices and changes in tax law Taking active role in Tax Leadership meetings and building Tax practice Other duties as assigned Software Vertex, data import & Anybill Strong excel, MS Access and Alteryx skills Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Superior verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively delegate work as needed Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills Capacity to work well in a team environment Capable of developing and managing a team of tax professionals Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clients.
