Job description
Qualification and Skills -
- Masters in Life Sciences
- Proficiency in scientific writing
- Scientific knowledge on mangrove ecosystems
- Professional Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of GIS
- Good analytical skills and adequate knowledge of research methodologies, sampling frameworks, etc.
- Experience in data analysis and statistical tools.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years in the field of restoration
Broad Responsibilities :
- Ensure awareness activities for the year: International Mangrove Day, World Wetlands Day and Quiz/Seminars are conducted smoothly
- Design mangrove restoration plan and execute the plan with a team
- Design and establish state of the art mangrove nurseries and satellite nurseries
- Work with various stakeholders to undertake mangrove restoration
- Ensure scientific or technical adherences to all needs of the project are met.
- Ensure that all administrative, HRD and IT needs are met.
- Responsible for all field reports, photographic documentation, submission of data sheets etc. as per the requirements of the Project Head.
- Responsible for maintenance of all assets of the organization in the area of activity.
- Ensure and monitor that all registers are maintained properly
- Guide the interns and university students in their dissertation
- Provide guidance to the team members as and when required and undertake quality checks of the field station
- Ensure the awareness activities are undertaken as per timelines.
