Job description

Qualification and Skills -

  1. Masters in Life Sciences
  2. Proficiency in scientific writing
  3. Scientific knowledge on mangrove ecosystems
  4. Professional Proficiency in English
  5. Knowledge of GIS
  6. Good analytical skills and adequate knowledge of research methodologies, sampling frameworks, etc.
  7. Experience in data analysis and statistical tools.

Experience : Minimum of 3 years in the field of restoration

Broad Responsibilities :

  1. Ensure awareness activities for the year: International Mangrove Day, World Wetlands Day and Quiz/Seminars are conducted smoothly
  2. Design mangrove restoration plan and execute the plan with a team
  3. Design and establish state of the art mangrove nurseries and satellite nurseries 
  4. Work with various stakeholders to undertake mangrove restoration
  5. Ensure scientific or technical adherences to all needs of the project are met.
  6. Ensure that all administrative, HRD and IT needs are met.
  7. Responsible for all field reports, photographic documentation, submission of data sheets etc. as per the requirements of the Project Head. 
  8. Responsible for maintenance of all assets of the organization in the area of activity.
  9. Ensure and monitor that all registers are maintained properly 
  10. Guide the interns and university students in their dissertation 
  11. Provide guidance to the team members as and when required and undertake quality checks of the field station 
  12. Ensure the awareness activities are undertaken as per timelines.
