Job Description

The Role

You will be joining an existing team of digital product managers which sits within the broader product and strategy team at Fastmarkets. Your role will be accountable for shaping the future of how Fastmarkets customers interact with commodity pricing and information to support their trading decisions. You will have a deep understanding of global financial markets, including exchange and commodities data, and extensive experience working within a data business driving the digital product experience. You will have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple business functions and development teams and work closely and empathetically with customers.

Principal Accountabilities

Product development

• Work with the business stakeholders to define and articulate the vision and strategy for our products and services, in line with overall business strategy
• Clearly understand the needs of the target audience and the strategic levers to commercialization and engagement
• Manage and communicate the digital product roadmap for all relevant products and solutions, prioritizing features based on business impact

Customer analysis

• Understand key audience needs, desires and behaviours through market research, face-to-face meetings and user feedback sessions
• Continuously measure, analyse and improve user engagement and devise new strategic and tactical ways to increase sales, engagement and renewal rates through product enrichment
• Run prototype, beta and user-group programs with early-stage features to capture

Product management

• Ability to work at project, feature and fix level simultaneously on multiple streams
• Lead reporting on digital product initiatives, progress, identifying areas of success and where further improvement is required
• Create and manage collateral to support sales strategy and customer adoption for new digital services and solutions
• Demonstrate a command of the range, structure and purpose of the data we carry, acting as an internal domain knowledge expert to support other functions within the company
• Identify, collect and formalize business and functional requirements for new digital services, features and fixes informed by market and internal insight within an agile framework
• Work closely with the business analyst team to develop wireframes and documentation, including user stories and acceptance criteria to help communicate requirements for internal and external stakeholders using formal and informal methods to gain understanding and consensus

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

• Experience of managing a digital product development through the project lifecycle, from inception to implementation
• Agile Product Owner experience
• Understanding of information services within a commodity focused enterprise
• Understanding of how customers use data and content to drive decision making
• Driven, organised, common sense, tenacity and problem-solving skills
• Desire to take ownership, be creative and pro-actively secure the objectives of the business
• Demonstrable lateral management and communication skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Customer centric: ability to empathise with product users and translate their needs into clear requirements
