Job description
Wolters Kluwer is looking for a hands-on Senior Enterprise Software Engineer in our Services Team to design, build, and integrate our next generation of Enterprise cloud services. Working within our Engineering team and collaborating closely with our customers, Cloud Operations, Security, Compliance, and other key stakeholders, the developer will work closely with other Engineers developing cutting edge, cloud native, micro-services architecture-based enterprise applications/services to enable public cloud consumption for the whole enterprise in a standardized manner.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and document enterprise services on the public cloud Azure, AWS SDKs
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle from design, delivery to on-going critical support.
- Work to continually improve product functionality and quality.
- Provide input into architecture and engineering standards.
- Explore new technologies, development patterns, and partake in pilots/POC/technology evaluations.
- Develop, Enhance, reverse engineer, and debug new/existing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) capabilities leveraging tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Coordinate and assist in complex troubleshooting.
- Serves as a peer leader to other developers and grows technical skills and practices for high-quality software development.

Job Qualifications & EXPERIENCE
Education: Required: bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master s degree will be preferred
Experience Required:
- A strong programming background with 6 - 9 years experience in Software Engineering role
- Proficiency in programming with the AWS or Azure Cloud SDK/APIs or cloud deployment tools
- Mandatory Programming experience with Python, Terraform, Boto 3 framework or Swagger/FAST API.
Preferred:
- 2+ years experience working with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or other well-known tools)
- 1+ years experience with Kubernetes
Certifications:
- Mandatory AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS Associate Architect certification preferred.
Soft Skills Required:
- Able to articulate complex engineering challenges to fellow engineers and partner teams
- Able to communicate on issues/problems to technical leadership such as Director/VP of Architecture & Engineering.
