Job description

Job Title: Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop electronic systems, circuits, and components. Utilize your expertise in circuit theory, analog and digital electronics, and signal processing to create robust and efficient solutions that meet project requirements and performance goals.
  2. Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and verify performance specifications. Conduct thorough testing, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the reliability, functionality, and quality of electronic systems.
  3. PCB Design: Design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard software tools. Consider factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability to optimize PCB designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Embedded Systems Development: Develop embedded firmware and software to control and interface with electronic hardware. Program microcontrollers, FPGAs, and other embedded devices to implement desired functionality, integrate with sensors and peripherals, and communicate with external systems.
  5. Simulation and Modeling: Utilize simulation tools and software to model, simulate, and analyze electronic circuits and systems. Perform circuit simulations, signal integrity analysis, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulations to predict behavior and optimize designs prior to prototyping.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation including design specifications, schematics, PCB layouts, test plans, and technical reports. Maintain accurate records of design iterations, test results, and design changes to support product development and compliance efforts.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into overall product architectures. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to convey project status, technical challenges, and proposed solutions.
  8. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronics design and engineering. Proactively seek opportunities for learning and skill development to enhance your expertise and contribute to the advancement of the team and organization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in electronics design, development, and prototyping, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment.
  3. Proficiency in circuit design, analysis, and simulation using software tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, SPICE, or similar.
  4. Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or other languages for embedded systems development.
  5. Familiarity with microcontrollers, FPGAs, digital signal processors (DSPs), and other embedded hardware platforms.
  6. Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout techniques, including knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  9. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
