The business has a large subscription client base, receiving economic, political and industry analysis through our intelligence platform Viewpoint.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join The Economist Group's Business Analysis and Change team, part of the Transformation Office, who work on large programmes of change. This role is focused in the Economist Intelligence businesses.
We are currently in a multi-year transformation programme, known internally as Platform for Growth (PfG) to replace our content creation suite. This will allow our content and data to be showcased in more engaging ways and create a platform for the development of new products and services for clients. This includes several new systems including an Editorial CMS, a data visualisation tool and a forecasting system.
This role will work with a Senior Business Analyst (based in London) across the full end to end project and programme lifecycle to understand the current landscape of business and editorial processes and systems that produce our content. You will provide analysis that identifies current challenges, problems and dependencies that will influence the future state definition and delivery. A level of system analysis will be required in this role so the successful candidate will be used to working with and assessing asset structures, data flows and system capabilities to determine how they can be best used to support the future state.
The successful candidate will work with a multitude of roles including Editorial and Business teams, Product managers, Project managers and both inhouse and 3rd party technology partners with a focus to deliver effective value and change.
The EIU's approach to work for this role permits qualifying colleagues in the team to split their time between attending the office and working remotely and, if they wish, to spend the majority of their working time working remotely.
The flexibility in this working arrangement is an important aspect of our way of working. Our India offices are based in Mumbai and Gurugram and you will be expected to attend the office for up to three days each month to collaborate with teams.
