Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with Loop's long-term vision and business objectives.
- Lead the technological evolution in a fast-growing environment, leveraging experiences from early-stage startups and large tech companies.
Team Development And People Leadership - Build, mentor, and lead the engineering team, focusing on hiring exceptional talent and fostering internal growth.
- Establish a culture of high performance and innovation, promoting continuous learning and career development.
- Manage team morale and motivation, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration And Influence - Work closely with Product, Design, Sales, and other departments to align engineering goals with overall company initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and advocate engineering perspectives in strategic decision-making across the organization.
Delivery And Execution Management - Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, guaranteeing quality and timely delivery.
- Implement and monitor effective processes and performance metrics, emphasizing agile methodologies and continuous delivery.
Innovation And Technology Leadership - Cultivate an innovative culture within the engineering team, encouraging exploration and adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, guiding the team to integrate impactful solutions.
Operational Excellence - Ensure the development of robust, scalable infrastructure and systems to support Loop's growth and operational needs.
- Initiate efforts to enhance processes and technologies for better performance, reliability, and scalability.
Problem Solving And Technical Expertise - Lead the team in identifying and solving complex technical problems, applying advanced problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Drive the technical design and architecture of systems, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, providing technical expertise to resolve complex issues
- Collaborate with support and operations teams to address technical challenges in a timely manner
Ideal Candidate - Minimum of 12 years in the software engineering field, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles.
- Experience in leading engineering teams in both startup environments and established tech companies, with a track record of scaling technology and teams effectively.
- Exceptional leadership skills, capable of inspiring and mentoring teams, with a focus on team performance and career development.
- Hands-on style of management and has technical depth to 'roll-up-your-sleeves' and get things done/fixed.
- Strong communication skills, adept in cross-functional collaboration and influencing company-wide strategic decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of software development practices, project management, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and expertise in technical design and system architecture.
