As Data Engineering team we build scalable, secure, high-performance products using cutting edge technology that gives our business great insights and our customers an amazing shopping experience. At Alshaya Group We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data solutions that align with our business goals and support our analytical needs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across our organization.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions that accommodate current and future business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into comprehensive data architecture designs.
• Create data models, data flow diagrams, and architectural documentation that provide insights into data relationships, structures, and processing.
• Oversee the implementation of data storage solutions, including databases, data warehouses, data lakes and ML Models
• Establish data governance standards and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize data pipelines and integration processes for efficient data flow.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to define data transformation and enrichment processes.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data architecture, recommending adoption when appropriate.

Knowledge (Desired):

• Certification in relevant data architecture or database technologies.
• Experience in cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
• Familiarity with data streaming and real-time processing frameworks.

Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data architecture solutions.
• Experience in data modeling tools such as Erwin, ERStudio or Lucid chart etc.
• Maintain a repository of all data architectures procedures and artifacts
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data integration tools.
• working experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data requirements.
• Integrate new systems and functions like security, performance, scalability, reliability and data recovery
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
