$3.50 to $5 USD / hour

Hours:

You must be prepared to work from 6 am to 3pm IST, with 1 hour in the middle for lunch.

Job Summary

As a social media video editor, you will create and edit short-form videos for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. The role of a social media video editor is to create engaging and high-quality videos that resonate with the audience of the specific platform.

The responsibilities of a social media video editor may include:

• Editing and compiling video footage to create a cohesive narrative.
• Adding special effects, graphics, and sound effects
• Selecting appropriate music and soundtracks
• Creating attention-grabbing video thumbnails
• Adhering to brand guidelines and creating videos that align with the brand's values and messaging.
• Keeping up to date with the latest trends and features of social media platforms to create videos that perform well.

To become a social media video editor, you will need to have a strong understanding of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. You will also need to have experience with motion graphics and animation, and knowledge of social media platforms and their video requirements.

A degree in video production, film, or media studies can be helpful, but it's not always necessary. Many social media video editors are self-taught or have learned through online courses and tutorials.
