About our Team
The Corporate Functions & GM Business Risk Team acts as a valued partner to businesses within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Global Human Resources (GHR) organizations and Global Markets (GM) in the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk in an effort to achieve risk excellence objectives. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for the candidate to gain solid understanding of the business units within the CFO, GHR & GM organizations, and to support the Business Risk Management Executive (BRME) efforts through involvement in the execution of Business Risk Management programs.
Job Summary
As a Business Risk Management Officer you will:
- Support the BRM organization documenting issues in Archer X, ensuring there are input in a consistent manner in accordance with the State Street Issue Management Standard, while carefully considering all relevant information.
- Participate in Archer X content change management to improve data quality by ensuring data entered in Archer X meets required standards
- Provide direct support to projects and activities across Corporate Functions and Global Markets Business Risk
- Assist with timely escalation of risk matters to BRM and Senior Management
- Participate in annually/quarterly control certification and ensure all communicated changes are updated in Archer X.
- Participate in Corporate Functions & GM Business Risk Change management program to ensure gaps in issues/controls are remediated
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Candidate has a minimum of 5+ years of experience with risk and or compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advanced levels of excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Work in a fast paced, challenging environment with multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid business knowledge as it relates to the financial services industry
- Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and be able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
- Experience with IT GRC platforms (Archer)
- Attention to detail and dedication to the pursuit of data quality
