We're looking for a Team Lead to lead our growing team of Bookkeepers. As a Bookkeeping Team Lead you will lead a seven-person team (growing by 1-2 per month) with team overall management and execution responsibilities. This is a well-paid remote role that you can do from anywhere in India.
On a typical day as a Payroll Specialists, you will: - Run the F6S bookkeeping team for our UK clients
- Handle the team and manage their KPIs
- Support the team and clients with:
- General bookkeeping for our external accounting clients, including bank reconciliations
- Quarterly VAT preparation and filing
- Monthly PAYE preparation and filing
- Workplace pension preparation and filing
- Ongoing support and guidance to clients
Desired profile - At least 5 years of dedicated experience as a Payroll Specialist exclusively for UK clients
- Advanced UK payroll experience in areas like mat pay, vacations, pensions, etc.
- Experience with Xero and QuickBooks
- Experience with a UK workplace pension provider, such as NEST, Smart, People's Pension, etc.
- Client management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload and meet challenging deadlines
- A thorough, methodical approach
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills, particularly in the use of online accounting software
- The ability to lead and work as part of a team
