Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Staff Accountant will partner to build a world class accounting function capable of scaling and performing flawlessly with MTX's growth.

Responsibilities:

• As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the monthly close
• items, general ledger, Bank and other internal control processes
• Vendor bill processing, Accruals and lease accounting
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliation of IC balances
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Provide support related to financial reporting
• Compare monthly and quarterly performance through actual versus Budget/forecast expectations and explain internal drivers impacting performance and trending
• Extend audit support for annual and interim audits
• Drafting of Internal policies and procedures for review
• Perform other related duties as delegated
• Should be able to perform the activities timely within the assigned deadlines
• Participates actively in CoEs, Discussion forums, advocates the use of MTX best practices

What you will bring:

• Semi-Qualified CA or Any finance related degree qualification
• 1-3 years of progressive core accounting experience with US GAAP knowledge
• Intacct Software experience is preferred
• Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
• Must have a broad understanding of accounting business processes and process improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule
• Willingness to train and develop others
• Credibility, ethics, integrity, transparency and full disclosure; Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and understands all ethical standards
• Ability to stand and sit for sustained periods of time, at least 50%
