The Role:
- Managing the overall seed stock inward and outward across all the state seed production centers or processing plants to FCs/C&F
- Review and streamline processes of intake and dispatches for meeting targets generating and sharing timely MIS, by making seed transportation routes to avoid seed loss and damage of fragile crops
- Detail planning of Intake and dispatch with sales and seed production team to ensure smooth operations.
- Handling sales return material with timely debunking followed by fumigation & safe cold storage
- Negotiating with logistic vendors and timelines of services and terms of payments Procurement of stationery and packing material in time with a detail plan on requirements as per season
- Managing the quality of stocks in the store and handling to reduce losses due to Shrinkage & Rottage Transportation sourcing and Management.
- Monitor contract compliance of carers' logistic service providers and evaluate trade-off between transportation costs, inventory costs & and service levels to design collaborative transportation solutions
- Budget forecasting and work towards prudent methods to be cost-effective, keeping records of stocks, tracking dispatches, stock status, and all related records, generating reports basis all records fulfilling compliances like Mandi License; and filing returns in prescribed formats.
Qualifications we look for:
- A Postgraduate MSc/ B.Sc. B.A/B. Com/ MBA with 5-7 years of experience with outstanding knowledge of Seed Supply chain
- Good geography knowledge a logical and systematic approach to work excellent communication skills, both oral and written logistics management and distribution.
- Commercial awareness and numeracy skills some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data adaptable and flexible when working in a busy environment
- Excellent Leadership and motivation skills treating problems or unexpected events as opportunities to learn and motivated by exceeding targets and expectations strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people
- Must have great interpersonal skills and networking with internal and external stakeholders especially with FC team, Category team & business team
