Job description
Role : AVP, Principal Operations EngineerTimings : 5:30 pm to 01:30 amLocation : (Permanent Remote)Responsibilities : - Understanding of an in depth of technologies in big data environments such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud, Ab Inito, Database technologies, processes for managing data, Business Objects, Tableau and Anaconda. - Understanding of processes for managing data. - The ability to interface with Senior and Executive Leaders within the data organization and across the company. - Identify and implement automation solutions. - Engage and Lead in a transformation towards a Data Observability strategy. - Management of resources, processes, and vendor management, as required. - Ticket efficiency, escalation management and overall improving customer service to the business. - Oversight of Incident, Event, & Problem Management processes, Capacity & Performance Management. - Drive process improvements. - Partner with Data Platform and Engineering teams to ensure effective transition to support. - Partner with Data Quality teams to ensure useability of all data products. - Drive issues through closure by engaging all appropriate resources. - Provides guidance and direction towards troubleshooting of Operations issues.Qualifications/Requirements :- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7+ years of IT experience, OR in lieu of a Degree minimum of 9+ years of experience in an IT environment - Minimum of 3 years of project management experience (Agile, scrum, Kanban, Devops). - Ability to clearly think through a problem and break it down into digestible pieces. - Monitoring technologies to ensure it is always available and functional. - Strong ITIL management process knowledge and experience - Excellent writing and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and sufficient manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve; creates actionable strategies and operational plans. - Strong business focus, which includes the ability to collect and analyze VOC (voice of customer) data and match service to requirements. - Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives. - Vendor management experience and good understanding of key Data service providers. - Change oriented - actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives; confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly. - Maintain a high degree of self-motivation and independent decision making. - Experience with managing impact of compliance regulations.Desired Characteristics :- Ability to work under pressure, being adaptable and responsive to organizational requirements. - Ability to work and derive creative and practical solutions to complex problems in an independent work environment. - Excellent organizational, problem solving and project management skills. - Good understanding of Cloud infrastructure (Data and Database architecture). - Formidable team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
