Job Description
Part of the ERGO and Publications team, which is responsible for editing and finalising ERGO newsflashes, newsletters, bulletins, budget write-ups, case notes, articles authored by firm members.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1) Editing ERGOs, articles, newsletters, budget announcements, and other external communication authored by lawyers/subject matter experts
2) Reviewing content put together and ensuring it has been analysed from a business perspective
3) Working with the ERGO partners/ team on all ERGOs / external communications
4) Liaising and coordinating with practice lawyers for authoring and releasing ERGOs in a timely manner
5) Staying updated with changes in law and ensuring articles/ ERGOs are prepared and circulated in time
6) Content development, authoring case notes, ERGOs, articles, or blogs – legal and nonlegal topics (when and if needed)
7) Working with design specialists/external vendors to redesign ERGOs /handbooks/guides and suggest ways to improve the quality and look of these materials
8) Research and suggest best publication practices of professional services/ consultancy firms
9) Reviewing and suggesting changes to the Firm's existing publication policy and process
10) Any other activities related to driving the firm's ERGO and Publication plan
11) Analysing post publishing trend on ERGO hits and update back to management
Competencies:
1) Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
1) Strong business / commercial acumen
2) Eye for detail for proofreading and editing
3) Knowledge of designing and creative layouts for sharing external material
4) Knowledge of media communication, dissemination techniques, and methods.
5) Ability to think creatively and suggest new ways of putting together ERGOs / external publications
Education and prior experience:
1) Degree/training in law (desirable)
2) Substantial experience in content development, design, copywriting and editing
3) Prior experience as content writer and editor (desirable)
4) Prior experience in the law space /professional service firms Short Info:
