Function: B2B Aqua Sales Manager (Corporate Sales)

Location: Hyderabad

About Clover Organic:

Clover was set up in the year 2008 to create a transformation in the field of organic agriculture, organic aquaculture and waste management by creating sustainable value chains. We have set up a state-of-the-art factory in Dehradun to produce advanced organic inputs for all our verticals.

We work with the Government, NGO and the private sector for delivering the aforesaid products and solutions. We are currently engaged in organic production in about 40,000+ acres of land.

The Role:

This is a senior-level managerial role, reporting to the CEO. Accordingly, the key expectations would be as follows:

Purpose:

To ensure the business objectives of the Aquaculture vertical of Clover Organic are successfully met by formulating & implementing highly effective sales strategies, coupled with exemplary management of its operations & people.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Achieving Sales Targets:

· Ensuring achievement of monthly/ quarterly/ annual revenue targets through:

o Innovative B2B sales strategies translating to New Client acquisition & growth/ expansion of existing accounts across India.

o Export of Aqua inputs & produce.

2- Lead generation:

· Building a strong sales pipeline in all relevant markets for the vertical.

· Collaborating with the marketing team to devise and implement lead generation activities, through online and offline mediums.

· Coordinate promotional efforts, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility in the aquaculture market.

3- Client Relationship Management:

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders of all clients

· Addressing client concerns by providing exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

4- Product Expertise in Aqua Culture:

· Developing an in-depth understanding of our aquaculture products and their applications in a B2B context.

· Effectively communicating product features and benefits to clients, addressing their specific needs.

· Keeping abreast with industry trends, technological advancements, competition and regulatory changes impacting our products.

5- Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

· Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management.

· Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, providing data-driven insights for improvement.

· Develop and manage budgets for the sales department.

· Coordinate promotional efforts, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility in the aquaculture market.

6- Team Leadership:

· Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of B2B sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

· Setting clear sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and objectives for the sales team and enabling the team to meet or exceed expectations.

· Fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Competencies required:

Knowledge

Essential

· In-depth knowledge of the aquaculture industry and its products.

· In-depth knowledge of B2B sales processes & techniques.

· Excellent market relationships and contacts.

Desirable

· Working knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

· Knowledge of the organic/sustainable aquaculture landscape.

Skills

· Consultative selling technique. At a basic level, asking the right questions to determine what the client needs before pitching a solution.

· Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Strong commercial acumen.

· Negotiation skills and the ability to handle objections.

· Communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Well versed with MS Office applications, esp. Excel & PowerPoint.

Attitude

· Results driven and having a strong bias for action.

· Resilient and able to handle pressure.

· Relationship management and networking ability.

· Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

· A genuine passion for aquaculture and a commitment to sustainability.

The Individual: (Education and Experience)

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, aquaculture, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

· A minimum of 5+years of experience, with a proven track record of successful B2B sales in the aquaculture industry.

· Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and motivating a B2B sales team.

· Experience in Organic field in Aqua Culture.
